On Friday, Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram and announced the release date of his upcoming movie OMG 2. The actor shared an intriguing poster on social media wherein he can be seen Lord Shiva’s dumru and has long hair like Lord Shiv (shivji’s jata). The actor captioned the post in Hindi, “We are coming, you also come, 11th August, in theatres. #OMG2.” Netizens were left excited as Akshay Kumar shared the poster with the fans. Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha featured Sunny alongside Amrish Puri and Ameesha Patel. The 2001 drama was one of the highest-grossing films in Bollywood history at that time. The sequel comes over more than two decades after the original. The director has already shot a portion of the upcoming film in Lucknow. Gadar 2 is currently under production. In September last year, Sunny Deol had said that filmmakers often ‘mess up’ while making sequels of their films, and added that he was confident about the second part of his popular film, In April, 2022, talking about Gadar 2, filmmaker Anil Sharma had told Hindustan Times in an interview, "We have worked with the same cast and characters Tara Singh (Sunny), Sakina (Amisha) and Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma).
