The National Honor Society is an American organization with chapters in high schools in all 50 states, several U.S. territories, and Canada. The NHS allows high school students with a dedication to the society's core values - scholarship, leadership, service, and character - to receive recognition, participate in volunteer activities, apply for college scholarships, and more. Maintain your GPA. Your cumulative GPA is one of the criteria used to see if you make National Honor Society standards. Get Connected Medal of Honor Recipients continue to serve by connecting with their communities, veterans, and youth. These groups are welcome to reach out to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society headquarters when looking to connect with a Recipient. Whether it is a letter or e-mail, an invitation to an event, or a simple question, there are multiple ways to reach out. The Society will pass along any correspondence to the Recipients and answer any questions you may have about the Medal of Honor itself. The Medal of Honor and its Recipients inspire awe. Meeting a Recipient in person or hearing a Recipient speak makes a lasting impact. The Valor Outreach Program is on the frontline, pairing Medal of Honor Recipients with military, veteran, community, and corporations that embrace the values of the Medal of Honor: Courage, Integrity, Commitment, Sacrifice, Citizenship and Patriotism. It is one of many ways that Recipients fulfill the Society’s mission of promoting the legacy of the medal of honor and championing the values. Through in-person and virtual events, Recipients share their unique insights on character, leadership, patriotism, integrity, resiliency, and adjustment to civilian life.
