We were assured of available rooms (double deluxe). On arrival we were shown a single bed room - stinking of biri.. there were alcohol bottles in the room and even the bed wasn't made after the last guests left!!. When checked with the lady & no so gentle man at the reception they said we could leave anytime.It was raining and cold & I had to look for a room in Shillong absolutely drenched as my mother is old and could not run around. They were least sympathetic and kept watching TV at the reception. Do avoid this hotel unless it's a life and death situation. I was travelling from Aizawl to Shillong for the first time. Become leaving for Shillong, I called up this place to make a reservation. I came to know that they don't accept reservation over phone. When I inquired about availability of rooms, I was greeted with a stoic "Yes, come and you'll get it". Since I had no reason to doubt their good intentions, I reached Shillong and to my horror I realized that the lodge wasn't even open.
