how do you disable audio recording in the…

When holding my iphone 6+ idly in my right hand (and I am right handed) my thumb rests at the bottom right corner of the screen - an accidental swipe up from there is a common enough occurrence. If I had just sent a text and forgot to hit the home button or sleep my phone (which does happen occasionally) and the gesture in question happened - it is possible that I might inadvertently record a conversation and send it unknowingly. This could be potentially (and was in actuality) VERY awkward at best! 🙂 Is there currently any way to turn this feature off or move the location of the button? If not, is a solution in the works? If not can I suggest that Apple get on that ASAP?!?!? Talk about your technology potentially detonating an emotional bomb in your life... I would think that from a business perspective the liability factor would be high enough that it would be a priority to fix this "bug"/oversight on Apple's part. 😮 Any and all help and/or suggestions are appreciated - I am not willing to "jail-break" my phone and I need a solution other than "be more careful" or "change how you hold your phone" (obviously in the meantime I will have to work on both of those things). Thanks! Yes, you will need to work on them, because that is the only viable solution. Of course if you leave an app open and touch the screen, something is likely to happen (or even if you do not have an app open). Its a touch screen. That doesn't apply to just the Messages app, but to any app. Its the equi...

The word “subject” had a harsh, unnatural sibilance to it. I know from experience that a de-esser wouldn’t fix it. So, I copied the sibilant “ess” from the word “this”, and pasted it over the sibilance in the word “subject.” To smooth over the transition, I used This is quite an advanced technique in the RX world—but it should demonstrate how powerful this tool really is when you dive into its more esoteric features. This is where I’ll leave it, and compared to the original, it’s far more listenable. A couple things to keep in mind here. First, each situation is different, but settings can be copied from the above screenshots to get you going. EQ and Secondly, our goal is not to fool the listener into thinking this is a studio recording. The goal is to make this recording far less annoying. Could I go farther with processing? Absolutely. With hours upon hours of “hand-painting” in RX—using the editor’s frequency-specific selection and feathering tools—I could make this audio sound less and less remote. But doing so is impractical for most podcasts, where deadlines are tight, ...

Hey guys this is what I am trying to do: I have audio recordings from my blackberry that have conversations on them. The only trouble is that there is music and tv playing in the background that really makes it hard to hear the voices. Is it possible to lower or remove or do something to the music/tv sound in the back so the voice comes through louder? Or who do I take this to to have it done because, full disclosure here, the voice on the recordings is no longer with us, so if anything could be done it would mean the world. Thanks Bell Labs once defined noise as "unwanted signal" with that in mind you might want to try the following with your Blackberry recording using a free download known as Audacity. I have used Audacity but not for these purposes so I do not feel completely comfortable offering this as a solution.
