Hyderabad Metro (or Mana Metro / మన మెట్రో) is currently under construction and is scheduled to begin operations from April’2016. It is being built under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and would be serving the Hyderabad city in the Telangana state of India. Most of the work for the phase one is complete, and safety trials have already begun. Hyderabad Metro is going to be India’s first driver less metro system. Hyderabad Metro – Information, Route Maps, Fares & Updates Menu: Information Hyderabad Metro is an urban Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) being built to serve Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Construction for Hyderabad Metro’s 72 km Phase 1 on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model started in April 2012 by its concessionaire, L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL), and ended in February 2020 when the entire Green Line opening in one go. Work on Hyderabad Metro’s 5 km MGBS – Falaknuma section of the Green Line could never begin due to local protests in the Old City, which led to Phase 1 getting truncated at 67 kms. After many twists and turns, Hyderabad metro’s second phase finally in motion

Nearly six years after the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) was launched, the twin cities will witness the next phase of construction when the bids are finalised for the Airport Metro Express from Raidurg to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad. This one will be a 31-km elevated, on ground and an underground section project involving a cost of ₹6,250 crore. It took five years for the Telangana government to kick-start the second phase having cleared the proposal in early 2018 itself. Budget allocations had been announced but nothing progressed even after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation prepared a detailed project report. Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao laid the foundation stone only in December last year. This was after it failed to attract any bidders from among infrastructure firms despite offering attractive terms — much better than what was offered to the L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH) for the first phase in 2010. Senior officials point out that in the first phase too, the contribution of the Central government was confined to just 10% of the Viability Gap Funding amounting to ₹1,458 crore. Ticketing

Hyderabad Metro Rail Smart Card is a virtual wallet that facilitates you with seamless travel. A smart card can be purchased from a ticketing office at any of the Metro Station as per your convenience for Rs. 150/-. Rs. 100/- of Rs. 150/- is towards the cost of the card which is not refundable and balance Rs. 50/- is your travel value. You can recharge your smart card with minimum amount of Rs. 50/- and maximum amount of Rs. 3000/-(in multiples of Rs.50). All Hyderabad Metro offers will be applicable on smart card. Please note that in case your smart card is lost, stolen or damaged, you have to buy a new smart card and the balance amount will not be refunded or transferred. • Enter the 14 digit smart card number mentioned at the back of your smart card on TSavaari App, LTMRHL Website, or Paytm App. • Choose the recharge amount from the drop-down list, click on ‘I agree’ check-box and tap on ‘Recharge’ button to proceed. • You will be directed to payment gateway where you can pay through Paytm wallet, debit/credit card or net banking. • After successful completion of payment, you will receive a confirmation message to your registered mobile number/e-mail. • To check/view your balance you need to visit your nearby Metro station after 2 hours and check the details at Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) or Add Value Machine (AVM) by selecting prepaid top-up option.
