India vs New Zealand 1st T20 Highlights: NZ take 1

India vs New Zealand 1st T20 Highlights: India needed a big partnership between captain Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav after New Zealand tore their top three apart within the first four overs. The pair put up 68 runs off 51 balls and seemed to have made a platform for India to challenge from. However, Suryakumar first fell just before reaching his half century and Pandya then fell in the next over. India crumbled after that and were restricted to a score of 155/9. India vs New Zealand Live Cricket Score: (AP) India are 155/9 after 20 overs. India's batting has failed quite miserably but the fact remains, if New Zealand had not smashed those 27 runs in the last over, this match would have been a nail biter. The Kiwi bowlers, led by Mitchell Santner (2/11) and Michael Bracewell (2/31), spun a web around the home batters, restrict India to 155 for 9 in 20 overs. • That is a huge blow and it has come completely against the run of play. SKY looking to help this to the leg side, but he ends up hitting it to wide long-on. Timed it too well, he had hit a six off the previous delivery itself. Suryakumar Yadav c Allen b Sodhi 47 (34), India 83/4 in 11.4 overs, need 94 runs in 50 balls • Slow ball from Arshdeep, Mitchell looking for a big mow and misses it completely. Bracewell runs in looking for a leg bye but Ishan Kishan is alert, throws away his gloves, picks the ball up and throws it on the stumps like a certain former India captain and local favourite sitting in the stands....

IND vs NZ 2nd ODI Updates from Raipur: India crucify New Zealand by 8 wickets, seal series

Mohammed Shami, Player of the Match:Whenever I start, I just focus on maintaining the right lines and lengths. But it does happen sometimes that you bowl well and yet don't get wickets. On other days you may not be in rhythm, and still get wickets. That happens. I feel that the more you work with the ball in practice, the more success will come. As they say, if you love something that thing happens yours. I never thought I'd get to have a proper seam position and it gives me joy to see the seam upright as it goes in the air. As a new-ball bowler, it's important to assess the pitch and pass the message quickly to the other bowlers as well. That is beneficial for the team and other bowlers as well. Rohit Sharma, India skipper:The last five games, bowlers have really stepped up. Whatever we have asked of them, they have stepped up and delivered. You don't usually see this type of seam movement in India, you generally see it outside India. These guys have some serious skills, they work really hard and it's great to see them being rewarded. We trained yesterday and the ball was nipping around under lights (on toss). We knew that if they had 250 or so, it might have been challenging for us but that was the point of opting to chase. We batted first in the last game, so the idea was to challenge ourselves and bowl first. Not sure what I'll do at Indore. The confidence is high within the group and that's great to see. They (Shami and Siraj) were raring to keep bowling long spells b...
