India beat New Zealand India won by 12 runs

Gill is the Player of the Match: I was waiting eagerly to go out there and do what I wanted to do. I wanted to unleash but sometimes you don't get to do it with wickets falling. I got to do it in the end. When the bowler is on top, you have to get them under pressure otherwise it's easier for them to create dot balls. I tried to get singles and boundaries and get them under pressure. I wasn't thinking about 200 before I hit those sixes in the 46th or 47th over. That's when I thought I could get a double. I won't call it a "wow" feeling but it feels nice when the ball goes off the bat how you want it. There's certainly a feeling of satisfaction. It has sunk in pretty well, this is certainly one of those things, like what dreams are made of. Rohit: To be honest, the way Bracewell was batting, we knew it was going to be a challenge. It was such clean striking. After we had them five down, we knew we were in the game unless we slip up. And that's what happened. But we always knew the threat of bowling under lights and with the dew like I said at the toss, which is the kind of challenge we wanted. Watching Gill bat is fanastic, clean striking and no aerial shots. We wanted to give him a run before the SL series the kind of form he was in. He's such a free-flowing batsman. Siraj has been brilliant, of late even in the other two formats. He's gone from strength to strength, running hard and clear about what he wants to do. He's not afraid to use the short ball as well which is ex...

Check live cricket score, scorecard and ball-by-ball commentary of 3rd ODI match between India and New Zealand on Times of India. Read Less I thought in the last six games we played we did most parts right and that is the key in 50-over games. We were consistent too. WIthout Siraj and Shami I knew we wanted to give chances to people on the bench. Wanted to get Chahal and Umran in the mix. We wanted to see how they react under pressure. I know we had the runs on the board, but I don't think any score is safe here. We bowled pretty well, stuck to our plans and held the nerve. Shardul has been doing it for a while. People call him magician in the squad and he came and delivered. Just need to get more games under his belt. Every time I have given Kuldeep the ball he has given breakthroughs and taken important wickets. The wrist spinners get better with game time. Gill's approach is quite similar every game. Wants to start afresh every game. As a youngster, coming into the team and to have that attitude is great. He could have taken it lightly but he doesn't seem to be that type. Today's hundred means a lot to me. I've been batting ...

WTC Final 2023: Three Player Battles Which Could Decide India vs Australia Title Clash

Team India will be up against Australia in the much-awaited World Test Championship at The Oval from Wednesday. India have been the most consistent side over the past two WTC cycles and also reached knockout phases of major white-ball tournaments over the last 10 years but an ICC trophy has eluded them. The last major ICC trophy India won was way back in 2013 when it bagged the Champions Trophy in England. It will be an interesting clash as both the teams have their own top performers, which will make this one a thrilling battle. Listen to the Steve Smith vs Mohammed Shami:Australia star batter Steve Smith is undoubtedly one of the most lethal batters of the longest format. He will be poised for a key battle against senior India pacer Mohammed Shami. "Shami is going to enjoy bowling in England, especially in the early part of June, where he gets good swing. Shami will relish the opportunity to knock Smith early but Smith coming in at four, the Australians will hope that Shami will have a few overs under his belt by that time," said Tom Moody.
