Bangladesh began the day on a strong note, reducing India to three for not much on the board. But the visiting side rode on Cheteshwar Pujara’s patient 90 and Shreyas Iyer’s counterattacking 82 not out to get to a comfortable position at stumps. Rishabh Pant chipped in with an entertaining 45-ball 46. Bangladesh bowled well in phases but was pretty poor in the field, with more than a couple of catches going down. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was the pick of the bowlers, with figures of three for 84. Iyer had Axar Patel for company. Patel would’ve been out had Bangladesh reviewed an lbw call off Taijul Islam’s bowling in the 87th over. There was a spike on UltraEdge and he was caught at short-leg.
