IND vs BAN 2nd Test highlights: Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin lead India to victory

Team India could have had a cakewalk while chasing Bangladesh's 145-run target in their second innings to win the ongoing 2nd Test however, a top-order collapse has the KL Rahul-led side in a spot of bother. The Indian skipper was the first to depart after which India kept losing wickets regularly, with Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat holding the fort at 45/4 at stumps on Day 3. Earlier, Bangladesh recorded 118 runs on Day 3 with the help of Litton Das's counterattacking 73-run knock, as the home side went from 113/6 to 231 after 70.02 overs. India began their chase of 145 in the worst possible fashion, losing Rahul early on as Shakib Al Hasan was able to get a leading edge off the Indian captain, with Nurul Hasan doing the rest. India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Day 2 Highlights: Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer's 159-run partnership that came in just 182 balls helped India recover from the loss of early wickets on Day 2. They lost Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujar in the first session and then Virat Kohli early in the second. However, Iyer and Pant began with a counter-attack and then largely maintained the run rate to take India past Bangladesh's total. Pant finally fell on 93 off 104 balls, making it the sixth time in his career that he has fallen in the 90s. Iyer also missed out on his century, falling for 87 off 105 balls. India were eventually all out for 314 runs, thus taking a lead of 87 runs. Bangladesh knocked seven runs off that and were 7/0 at stumps, trailing the visitors by 80 runs. India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Live Score: Pant and Iyer turned the tables on Bangladesh(AP) Rahul has a brief chat with the umpire but he has whipped the bails off so it is stumps. A few grumpy faces among the Indians while Shanto and Zakir are smiling from ear to ear. Zakri also took his time to tie his shoe laces at the non-striker's end before the second last ball could be bowled. Anyhow, despite that fantastic partnership between Rishabh pant and Shreyas Iyer, neither side have really pulled too far ahead of the other today. India arguably have their noses slightly ahead considerint Bangladesh still need to score 80 runs before they can truly start setting a target for them. • Some salt and chilli ma...
