Inspired by Hope We all have at least one reason to live yet sometimes it's difficult to believe. We understand. When we're feeling low we need the help of others. Don't count the minutes. Count the laughs. Embrace positive change. Trust in yourself. Believe. Be thankful. Be nice. Be happy. Live for today. And above all. "‘Bloody’ Awesome!" Posted Nov 19,2022 In an incident that speaks volumes about the generosity of Amdavadis, several donors with negative blood groups rushed to give blood to tide over the shortfall in units of negative blood groups on Wednesday. The Red Cross Blood Bank at Paldi received a request from a private hospital seeking a whopping 24 units of blood for four patients undergoing bypass surgery in a single day.Dr Vishvas K Amin, General Secretary of the Red Cross in Ahmedabad, said, “Thanks to the extraordinary level of dedication of blood donors, we were able to provide blood to four patients whose request reached us just because the blood group was not available anywhere else. If they required positive blood group units, it wouldn’t have been a problem but people with negative blood groups are hard to come by and fewer of them are voluntary blood donors. The fact that so many negative units were donated in a single day is a rare incident.”
