New underground routes in the upcoming Indore metro to help with future traffic issues

In a city like Indore, one that is expanding at a really high rate, the metro is something that has come out to become a necessity. The metro here, has been under works for a long time and though there is still no update on the completion of work, new reports state that the proposed underground route will be extended to cover a total length of 4.5 kilometers. Read on to know all about Indore metro, it’s timeline and future. Previously it was revealed that the underground route would be around 2 kilometers in length, but now it seems the route has been extended. The main reason behind this extension is the fact that Bada Ganpati Square and surrounding areas are really crowded and it would not make sense to construct an elevated metro route halting the traffic and disrupting the daily commute of people. The elevated metro route then, would only add to the traffic issues. The extended route will go from Bada Ganpati Square all the way to the airport via Rajwada. This is one of the most crowded routes in Indore and the metro, once functional will surely help clear the areas plagued with traffic issues. The completed metro route that will cover an area of 29 kilometers will be mostly elevated. Additionally, the authorities will also build a foot-over bridge that will directly connect the metro to the airport, which recently got the international status. Indore is already one of the fastest developing cities of the country and this news has got us pumped up. As of now, one phase...
