JEE Main Result 2022: Delayed JEE Mains result leaves students flustered, no official announcement from NTA

JEE Main Result 2022 is yet to be declared by NTA on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. With no official announcement from NTA, the delayed JEE Mains result Session 1 has left students flustered and anxious. At this point they have also taken to social media seeking updates on JEE Mains Result 2022 date, time. JEE Main Result 2022 delay reasons are currently not known. As per last reports, the session 1 result was expected to be declared by July 9, 2022 since JEE Mains Session 2 registrations were closing then. However, with no new update on the result website, it was assumed that the result declaration has been delayed further.

Joint Entrance Examination

Main article: JEE-Main is conducted by Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, JEE-Main 2021 has a change in paper format and number of attempts. Now there will be 20 single choice questions and 10 numerical questions out of which only five numerical questions are to be attempted. The marking scheme is same as earlier i.e. for SCQs, +4 marks for correct answer and -1 marks for incorrect answer and 0 marks for not answered, and for numerical type questions, +4 marks for correct and -1 marks for incorrect. JEE-Main, unlike JEE-Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. Up until 2018, the JEE-Main Paper-I is of three hours duration and consists of thirty single choice questions in each of the three subjects (physics, chemistry and maths). 4 marks are awarded for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers. Students taking this exam are usually in the age group 18-20. A new pattern consisting of 20+5 questions per subject was introduced in January 2020 with 20 single choice questions + 5 numerical type questions by NTA. In single-choice questions 4 marks are awarded for correct answers and no marks are deducted from numerical type questions. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA)

INTRODUCTION The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2023 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 118 institutes for the academic year 2023-24. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 38-Other Technical Institutes Funded Fully or Partilly by Central or State Government (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

About JEE(Main) 2023

The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs ( B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country. The JEE (Main) – 2023 will be conducted in 02 ( two) sessions for admissions in the next academic session. JEE Main Result 2023: National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday released the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) April Session 2023 answer key. The answer key is released on the official NTA website - https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ The JEE Main results for the April Session are expected to be declared on or before April 23, 2023. The JEE Main exam is considered as one of the most important engineering entrance exams in India, and it is conducted twice a year in multiple sessions. The registration for JEE Main Session 1 for January exams started from December 15, 2022, and the last date to apply was January 12, 2023. Whereas, for the April session, the registration started from February 14, 2023, and the last date to apply was March 12, 2023. The January session of the JEE Main exam was conducted from January 24 to February 1, 2023, whereas the April session was held on April 06, 08, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15, 2023. About 9.4 lakh candidates took the JEE Main 2023 April session examination, which was approximately conducted at 330 exam centres, including 15 cities outside India. The January session result was announced on February 6, 2023, and candidates who have appeared for the April session are eagerly waiting for their results. The result for the same is likely to be announced on or before April 22, 2023. Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria For appearing in the JEE (Main) – 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking admission. List of Qualifying Examinations (QE) • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. • Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. • A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge Univ...
