Joseph Edward Root is popularly known as Joe Root or Shorty. He is an international cricketer, a right-handed batsman, an occasional off-spinner, and a skillful fielder. He currently represents the England Cricket team at the international level. He is currently the captain of the England Cricket team in test format. He plays for his team in three formats test matches, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty 20 international(T20I). He was a right-handed opening batsman and an off-spinner by trade, but he moved up the batting order after becoming an international cricketer.
