2022-23 Season Summary In his first season with the Lakers, Lonnie Walker IV provided an offensive boost and proved a key contributor both in the regular season and the playoffs. Offering career bests in two-point field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and overall field goal percentage, Walker IV had one of the most efficient scoring seasons of his career while mixing his time as a starter and a reserve. Guard Lonnie Walker IV was one of the free agent signings the Los Angeles Lakers made last summer, and at first, some thought it was an underwhelming one. They used their mid-level exception to sign him to a one-year, $6.5 million deal, and given his inconsistent play in his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, fans seemed divided on whether he was a good signing.
