Minimalist Salicylic acid + LHA 2% Face Cleanser review

Salicylic acid and Capryloyl salicylic acid (LHA) have been gaining popularity in the skincare industry for quite some time now. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) which has keratolytic properties that helps in unclogging pores making it suitable for acne prone skin types. LHA on the other hand is a derivative of salicylic acid which has an added fatty chain to make it more lipophilic and gentle for exfoliation. If you have read my previous posts you must know that most of the minimalist products worked really well for me except for the PHA toner so I was pretty excited to use its face cleanser as well. The face wash is sulphate free and contains both BHA and LHA for gentle exfoliation of dead skin cell layers. Clogged pores can lead to the formation of non-inflammatory (blackheads, whiteheads) and inflammatory acne. Hence adding such chemical exfoliators can prevent oil build up and bacterial proliferation which can lead to future breakouts.
