The reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska is on her maiden trip to India and after attending the star-studded Femina The trio met 20 beneficiaries from the Parivartansheel Sanstha in the Kandivali East area of Mumbai. Sini Shetty and the Miss World team spoke to some of the beneficiaries and heard their stories. Here are excerpts from Karolina, Julia, and Sini's chit-chat with E Times, Times of India. J. Today's experience has been a magical one. The most important thing for me was to look at young faces and old faces and see hope, a little bit of doubt and then suddenly see a smile. And I think that is so important, to always keep a promise. Q. What are the qualities that Karolina possesses that you would like to adapt to? S. I think Karolina is the perfect example of beauty with a purpose. She's kind, humble, approachable, and accessible and those are the things I see in a Miss World. Someone who carries the crown with responsibility and that's something I would like to carry on. Q. What does beauty with a purpose mean to you? S. It's a bridge that fills the gap between access and privilege. India is all set to host the Miss World competition in 2023. The renowned international beauty pageant is returning to the country after 27 years. While the specific dates are still being worked out, the 71st Miss World pageant is expected to occur in November. Sini Shetty, the winner of Femina Miss India 2022, will represent India at this year’s Miss World competition. Karolina Bielawska, a Polish woman, was crowned Miss World this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The competitor who triumphs this year will inherit her title. WHO IS SINI SHETTY, WINNER OF MISS INDIA 2022? In the Miss India 2022 sub competitions, Sini Shetty, a 21-year-old from Karnataka who was born in Mumbai, also won the Miss Talent award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and is working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). At the age of four, Sini Shetty began dancing and has studied Bharatanatyam. When she was 14 years old, she completed her first theatrical production, also known as the arangetram. She centred her desire to represent India’s true values to her sisters who come from all over the world.
