Naruto is a popular anime show that was aired on TV Tokyo for a period of five years, from 2002 to 2007. The series follows the journey of a young boy named Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of becoming Hokage, the leader of his village of Konohagakure. The main antagonist of the series is Orochimaru, a powerful ninja who seeks immortality and is responsible for many of the conflicts that Naruto and his comrades face. Over time, Naruto and his friends encounter many other deadly opponents who test their skills as ninjas and their bond as a team. Throughout the show, Naruto faces many challenges, both physical and emotional. He learns to harness the power of the fox spirit within him, overcoming the fear and rejection of his fellow villagers. Naruto vs. Naruto Shippuden: Which Series Is Better? - whatNerd

I first started watching the Naruto anime about ten years ago, when it was airing the middle of the Chuunin Exam Arc. I caught up, then stopped somewhere during the Konoha Crush Arc because I couldn't be bothered anymore with the week-to-week pacing of the series. Fortunately, I revisited the anime earlier this year and binge-watched both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Related: For the longest time, I thought of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden as two parts of one series. Now that I've finished both, I don't think they are. To me, Naruto Shippuden feels like a different show altogether from Naruto. They might share the same settings and characters, but there are many creative differences that set them apart—so much so that I now consider them as two separate anime series rather than two parts of one whole. Here's how Naruto and Naruto Shippuden differ, and which series is better. (Since I never watched any of the filler episodes in either series, my thoughts are solely based on canon episodes.) Related: Naruto vs. Naruto Shippuden: Plot Naruto's plot is primarily personal: it's all about Naruto's struggle as a discarded outsider who wants to become Hokage and win the respect of those around him. Watch this scene: Rock Lee versus Gaara Naruto Shippuden evolves far beyond Naruto himself and encompasses a wider plot that involves the fate of the known world. Some of the seeds of that plot were planted in Naruto, but it only takes root after the time jump between the two series. Whil...

Author/artist Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto kept himself busy penning continuing adventures in the Naruto world, including the manga Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and the story for Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which focus on the title character’s son, Boruto.
