Since 1980 The National Sports Collectors Convention The National is an annual gathering of collectors, dealers and any other groups interested in collecting trading cards, autographs and other related memorabilia. The National is the event with the strongest tradition, best autograph guests, largest roster of dealers of vintage and new collectibles and the biggest selection of cards and memorabilia all under one roof. It's been said, "If you can't find what you're looking for at the National, it probably doesn't exist!" The National is the event of the year and is the place you should be as collectors, dealers, distributors, manufacturers, licensors and everyone else in the collectibles industry all participate in the worlds most spectacular sports and entertainment collectibles industry. The National Sports Collectors Convention About Us The National Sports Collectors Convention is an annual gathering of collectors, dealers and any other groups interested in collecting trading cards, autographs and other related memorabilia. In 1980 a group of collectors gathered in a small hotel ballroom at the Los Angeles International Airport Marriott for what became the 1st National Sports Collectors Convention. From that, The National has grown into a once a year extravaganza that is the premier showcase event of the collectibles industry. Sport has the power to change the world; it is a fundamental right and a powerful tool to strengthen social ties and promote sustainable development and peace, as well as solidarity and respect for all. The global theme for the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace 2023 is “ Scoring for People and the Planet”. As in previous years, this overarching theme allows for IDSDP activities to broadly focus around the impact and influence of sport on sustainable development and peace. The Biden administration invited every national champion from the past academic year, with 52 teams making the trip to the nation's capital. The White House frequently hosts champion teams from the world of sports, but College Athlete Day was the first time it hosted NCAA national champions from all three divisions.
