The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Lobster Releases This December

Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Lobster Back in 2008 Cambridge Massachusetts based, Concepts, teamed up with Nike SB on what might be one of the most prolific Nike series of all time, the Lobster. First arriving in Red, the Concepts x Nike SB collaboration elevated what a shop collaboration could be by leveraging one-of-a-kind packaging and cryptic marketing all in the name of storytelling. Concepts and Nike SB went on to do four more lobster colorways throughout the years ranging from blue to green and the rumor mill is abuzz that an Orange Nike SB Dunk Low Lobster could arrive later this year. If the Orange colorway follows suit with previous releases, the Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Lobster will feature an orange winterized suede upper with speckled shell-like overlay. Moving on down the shoe, it is expected to have a dark navy midsole and an orange rubber outsole to match the upper. Finishing things off will be the famous picnic sockliner with orange and white checkering. As with all the Lobster SBs, it will come with the claw band accessories and a few different lace options. The Nike SB is once again teaming up with Jordan Brand on a mash-up, skate-ready Air Jordan model, this time with the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP "Pine Green Sail." Releasing March 2023, the pair will retail for $225 and release in men's sizing. For first looks, release information, and more, check out the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP "Pine Green Sail" here!

Concepts Orange Lobster Dunk Release Info

In 2008, Concepts began one of the greatest sneaker sagas in history with the release of the Lobster Dunks – a shop collaboration that elevated the standards in terms of packaging and storytelling. A year later, they followed it up with the blue lobster, an homage to the insanely rare pigment of the crustacean. Nike SB honored the overall execution of the project with an infinitely rare Yellow Lobster Dunk, a project executed by the late Sandy Bodecker. The red, blue, and yellow Lobster Dunks have been fondly remembered in the skate and sneakerhead community, so much so that in 2018, they revisited the project with the release of a purple and green Lobster Dunk. Those colors were derived by combined the two originals as mixing red and blue yield purple, and mixing blue and yellow yields green. This sparked rumors of a third colorway – an Orange Lobster Dunk – as that color is achieved by mixing the third and final combination of the three. Those Orange Lobster Dunks never released, but in recent days rumors have swirled that another Concepts Lobster Dunk would be releasing. New information via @jfgrails suggests that this mystery colorway is indeed the Orange colorway. Not only is orange achieved by mixing red and yellow, but it actually occurs naturally — albeit in less frequency than the one-in-two-million blue lobster. For now, nothing has been confirmed and there are no photos to share outside of this presumed mock-up, but if you’re ever curious about how the Concepts ...
