A taxpayer cannot hold more than one PAN (Permanent Account Number) card. A penalty of INR 10,000 can be levied if a taxpayer is holding multiple PAN. No. You need to have Acknowledgement number to track your PAN application status. You will receive Acknowledgement on your email address which was provided in application.
