iPhone 14 Pro vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Possible release date and price We expect the Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 range, including the Pro models, on September 7, and they've been on sale since September 15. There's a long wait for these models though, as you can see over at our Like Apple, Google rolls out its phones in the fall, and the company just set a product event date. The As for price, the iPhone 13 Pro was already at a $100/£100 disadvantage to the Pixel 6 Pro, and since the iPhone 14 Pro hasn't changed price ($999 for the Pro, $1,099 for the Pro Max) we expect to see a similar gap between the iPhone 14 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro. There's no word on Pixel 7 Pro pricing, but you'd imagine Google will try to stick to the $899 the Pixel 6 Pro debuted at. iPhone 14 Pro vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Design The iPhone 14 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro look quite different from each other, although they're very similar to their predecessors. (Image credit: Tom's Guide) Apple has again gone with a flat-sided handset with a triangular arrangement of cameras on the back for the iPhone 14 Pro, with a choice of Deep Purple, Space Black, Silver or Gold matte-textured colors. One major change however is that the notch has gone, replaced with the (Image credit: Tom's Guide) Google gave the Pixel 6 a completely different design from previous Pixels, but the Pixel 7 will iterate on its predecessor's look rather than shaking things up again. But more megapixels doesn’t always mean better photos, and the only way to really know how well a camera performs is to use it a lot. Google Pixel 7 vs iPhone 14: The smartphone war takes a familiar turn

(Image credit: Future / Philip Berne) Both of these phones carry strong echoes of their immediate predecessors, but the Pixel 7 does much more to distinguish itself from the Pixel 6 than the iPhone 14 does from the Google’s phone has the same basic shape and size as before, with a similar width-spanning camera visor. It’s still a design that sets it apart from any other brand. This time around, that camera visor is all-metal, and it melts out of the aluminum frame of the phone. The back of the phone is glossy glass. The company has ditched the two-tone finish of the Pixel 6, which will upset some and please others. We’re digging the new Lemongrass color, which accompanies the more traditional Snow (white) and Obsidian Black too. The iPhone 14 also has a new color to show off, but it’s a more restrained pale blue. This takes its place alongside Midnight, Purple, Starlight, and Red (with an additional color likely to appear in Q2 next year), giving you a lot more choice, as far as finish is concerned. In terms of the shape and size of the iPhone 14, it’s nigh-on identical to the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12, with those now-familiar flat surfaces and rounded corners. Comparatively speaking, the iPhone 14 is a fair bit smaller, slimmer, and lighter than the Pixel 7, which might play into your thinking when deciding which phone to buy. The Pixel 7 and the iPhone 14 both have IP68 certification, so there’s no bragging rights to be had on the dust or water resistance front. Pixel 7 vs...

Google Pixel 7 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro — which phone takes better close

Taking photos of tiny things used to be tricky to accomplish on a smartphone, but advances in camera hardware and software are making it much easier these days. While some cheaper phones use dedicated macro cameras (sometimes more for the sake of the spec sheet than the user), the top phones on the market have instead moved toward using their existing ultrawide cameras. That includes Apple, whose introduced a macro feature on the Google Pixel 7 Pro vs . iPhone 14 Pro Max macro mode: The photos First, a word on the cameras. Take a macro shot with the Pixel 7 Pro, and you're using the phone's 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Likewise, the iPhone 14 Pro Max also uses a 12MP (f/2.2.) lens for macro shots captured by the ultrawide camera. While trying to see what tiny secrets lurked in a patch of asphalt outside the TG U.K. office, I found that the iPhone can get much closer to its subject than the Pixel can, which is visible in the photo above. In fact, the only thing stopping me from getting an even closer shot was that my hand holding the phone was already pressed to the floor. You can see this too in this shot of the center of a purple flower. The Pixel's shot is blurry but the iPhone does a much better job of showing off the stamen at the heart of the flower's head. That said, Google's processing software captures colors in a more appealing and accurate way, while the iPhone's produced an over-saturated image, plus it's a touch noisy. Both phones have the o...
