You require a salary of _______ in ‘s local currency to live a similar quality of life as you would with a salary of _______ in ‘s local currency. What is Purchasing Power Parity ? Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is an economic theory that suggests that in the long run, exchange rates between two currencies should tend to equalize the prices of a basket of identical goods and services in each country. In other words, PPP suggests that a certain amount of currency should have the same purchasing power in different countries. For example, if a burger costs $5 in the United States and 300 rupees in India, the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Indian rupee should reflect this difference in prices. PPP is often used as a way to compare living standards between countries. By taking into account the relative prices of goods and services, PPP-adjusted measures of income or GDP provide a more accurate picture of the relative standard of living between countries than simply using market exchange rates. What is PPP Calculator ? A PPP (purchasing power parity) salary calculator is a tool used to convert a salary from one country to another, taking into account differences in the cost of living between the two countries. The calculator adjusts the salary based on the relative prices of goods and services in each country to provide an estimate of how much the salary would be worth in the other country. To use the calculator, you will typically need to input the salary amount and...

The following methodology, which is one of the methodologies contained in the CARES Act, will be most useful for many applicants. Step 1: Aggregate payroll costs (detailed below) from the last twelve months for employees whose principal place of residence is the United States. Step 2: Subtract any compensation paid to an employee in excess of an annual salary of $100,000 and/or any amounts paid to an independent contractor or sole proprietor in excess of $100,000 per year. Step 3: Calculate average monthly payroll costs (divide the amount from Step 2 by 12). Step 4: Multiply the average monthly payroll costs from Step 3 by 2.5. Step 5: Add the outstanding amount of an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) made between January 31, 2020 and April 3, 2020, less the amount of any “advance” under an EIDL COVID-19 loan (because it does not have to be repaid). The examples below illustrate this methodology. Example 1: No employees make more than $100,000 • Annual payroll: $120,000 • Average monthly payr...
