जळगाव/अमळनेर : मध्य प्रदेशातील इंदूरहून पुण्याकडे येणाऱ्या एसटी महामंडळाच्या बसला धार जिल्ह्यातील खलघाट येथे मोठा अपघात घडला. बस नर्मदा पुलावरुन नदीत कोसळल्याने १३ जणांचा मृत्यू झाल्याची प्राथमिक माहिती हाती आली आहे. बस जळगाव जिल्ह्यातील अमळनेर डेपोची असल्याची खात्री पटली आहे. सकाळी १०च्या सुमारास हा भीषण अपघात घडला. The bus was going from Indore to Amalner (Jalgaon) when it fell into the Narmada river at Khalghat in the district. There were 50 passengers on board. The death toll may rise. After getting information, Indore Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Pawan Kumar Sharma instructed the Khargone and Dhar collectors to rush to the spot to launch a rescue operation, officials said. The river current was strong, Mishra said, adding that the rescue operation was on. The ill-fated bus was from the Amalner depot in Jalgaon district, MSRTC officials said. The bus departed from Indore city around 7.30 am and was going to Amalner, they said. Officials concerned from Jalgaon rushed to the accident spot. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde regarding the Dhar bus accident. CM Chouhan informed Maharashtra's CM Shinde him about all the casualties. He also told that the incident occurred due to imbalance at the Khalghat Sanjay Setu bridge. Officials said that among the eight, five people are from Maharashtra, two from Rajasthan, and one from Madhya Pradesh. The bus’s driver Chandrakant Patil and conductor Prakash Chaudhari are also among the dead and their bodies have been recovered. “The authorities in Madhya Pradesh are carrying out the identification of the person and are also engaged in search and rescue operations.
