After a long wait, Ritesh's first directorial venture will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The Marathi film Ved broke box office records for the industry. The movie, which was released last year, emerged as the top-grossing Marathi film of the year. The film had a very strong opening weekend of Rs 10 crore net in India, one of the highest for any Marathi film. By the end of its run in March, Ved had earned a whopping Rs 61 crore in India alone. Its worldwide gross of Rs 73 crore makes it the second-highest-grossing Marathi film of all time, only behind the 2016 blockbuster Sairat. The official page of OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar announced the arrival of the movie. They wrote, "Pyaar ke pagalpan ki koi seema nahi hoti". The movie will be streaming from April 28. New Delhi: After impressing cinema lovers for years with his acting skills, Riteish Deshmukh has turned director with the Marathi film Ved. Riteish is also seen in the lead role alongside his wife Genelia. Now, the actor has shared the teaser of the film and by the looks of it Ved is anything but a simple love story. The teaser shows Riteish with a sombre and weather-beaten look on his way fighting and walking on the streets of Mumbai. The teaser ends with a clip of Genelia – dressed in simple Indian clothes – stepping out of the car with an umbrella as it rains. Sharing the video, Ritesh wrote a note in Marathi that translates to, “The beginning of a new journey is doing. My first step in directing. A little eagerness in the mind...A little fear...But very crazy. Hope you like it. Actors John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Nora Fatehi and Shehnaaz Gill are set to feature in filmmaker Sajid Khan's upcoming film, titled "100%", the makers announced on Monday. Dubbed as a story of "love, marriage, family and spies", the movie is produced by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar and Amar Butala. The production banner announced the film on Twitter alongside a short teaser video. "Not 70% not 80% not even 90%!! We guarantee you a #100Percent entertainer packed with comedy, action, music & spies. Diwali 2023 just got bigger!" read the tweet by T-Series. "100%" will go on floors next year and will be released on Diwali 2023. Khan, known for films such as "Heyy Baby" and two "Housefull" movies, last directed 2014's "Humshakals".
