The kidney was donated by his daughter Rohini Acharya, who is also recovering fast. Doctors said, all the vital parameters of both the donor and patient are now normal. Lalu Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi, his daughter Misa Bharati are presently in Singapore. Politicians across the spectrum have lauded Rohini Acharya for doing a great service by donating her kidney and giving a new lease of life to her 74-year-old father. On Monday, Lalu’s son Tejashwi Yadav posted pictures and video of his father who has been shifted from operation theatre to ICU. Lalu Yadav had been suffering from acute kidney complications and was advised a kidney transplant. Tejashwi’s post on Twitter, while applauding her sister, was quite emotional. He wrote: “My dear sister’s self-confidence after the surgery is divine, unprecedented and wonderful. As CBI officials questioned Lalu Prasad Yadav in a corruption case today, his daughter said the ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch was being "constantly harassed" and warned that she will "not spare anyone" if something happened to him. Rohini Acharya, the former Bihar chief minister's second daughter, wrote in a Hindi tweet that the way he was being harassed was not right. "All this will be remembered. Time is very powerful," she said. In another tweet, she said the 74-year-old leader is still capable of shaking the seat of power in Delhi. New Delhi: Bihar politician Lalu Yadav, who has been unwell for some time, will receive a kidney from his daughter Rohini Acharya. The RJD leader will go through a kidney transplant later this month. "Yes, that's true. I'm destiny's child and so proud to give my kidney to papa," said Rohini Acharya, Lalu Yadav's second daughter, who is based in Singapore. "Rohini Acharya stepped in to give her father a new lease of life," news agency PTI quoted a family member as saying. Rohini Acharya had, in a tweet last month, shared photos with her father.
