Built in honour of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the statue was built in just 33 months to last a century. The entire statue is clad with 6,500+ macro and micro bronze panels that sit on a concrete and steel superstructure. Situated at Kevadia, Gujarat, SoU is also part of a grand vision for the development of the area. It features a 52-room, 3-star hotel – "Shrestha Bharath", bridges and 4-lane approach roads.
