She had the revolutionary flame to take forward women's education for the upliftment of women in the field of education and literacy. She, along with her husband, was comrades in arms in the struggle to educate women. Her birth anniversary is a significant day for all the women who are being educated in this generation as the fire was started by Krantiveer Savitribai Phule. Savitribai Phule Jayanti 2022: History and personal life Savitribai Phule was born on January 03, 1831, at Naigaon, Maharashtra. She was a child bride to the activist and social reformer Jyotirao Phule. The support from her husband led her to read, write and establish India's first school for girls, called Bhide Wada in Pune in the year 1848. They both believed that education was the only medium for empowering the depressed class and women to stand out equally with the rest of society. She was known as the 'Crusaders of gender justice'.She completed her teaching training at an institute called American Missionaries in Ahmednagar and Pune's Normal School. Counted among few literate women of those times, Savitribai is credited for founding the first girl’s school in Pune in Bhide Wada with her husband Jyotirao Phule. She took great effort towards educating and emancipating child widows, campaigned against child marriage and sati pratha, and advocated for widow remarriage. A leading figure of Maharashtra’s social reform movement, she is considered an icon of Dalit Mang caste along with likes of B. R. Ambedkar and Annabhau Sathe. We, alaong with senior architect Late Aroon Bhagat, had the opportunity to build the beloved auditorium of Dombivli. ​ Seating 1000 people this auditorium has been appreciated byaudiences and performers alike for its stage and seating layout and for the sheer experience of live viewing of performance arts.

Nice place to visit with friends and family members. I watched Gela Udat Marathi Natak starring Siddharth Jadhav. It was awesome Natak and we enjoyed a lot. Snacks are available here. We cant bring snacks inside the theater. Cleanliness is good. They offer you to click photos with actors after the end of play. Awesome place to be with family and friendsStarting with parking and accessibility its all well planned.Good seating arrangements, clean environment and clean seats.No food items allowed inside so its always neat and tidy.Visibility of stage is good from all the anglesSound system is accurate and even temperature control is appropriate.Good for having large eventsCapacity of hall around 1500 people.Only thing they lack is proper food .Good Food items are neither available in that area around the hall nor inside theatre Nice auditorium for drama performances. Still it requires maintenance and cleanliness of washrooms. Management should allow people to wait inside the auditorium instead waiting outside. Staff should have a dress code. Need tie up with KDMC buses for pickup when show ends to avoid waiting and creating crowds on the road. It is the sole beautiful natyagruh in Dombivli situated next to MIDC ground. Very spacious and AC natyamandir. It is beautfully build but cleanliness is not maintained upto the mark. Also only a single eatery option available. It is just 1 km from Thakurli station as well.
