AzaadiSAT is a normal orbital satellite which has been developed by over 750 girls from 75 Schools across the country. Chennai-based organisation, Space Kidz was leading the project.

Sriharikota, India, 26 March 2023 – OneWeb, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company, today confirmed the successful deployment and contact of 36 satellites launched by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR) in Sriharikota, India. Lift-off took place on Sunday, 26 March 2023 at 9:00am.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nine former scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization (Isro) on Wednesday alleged that former scientist Nambi Narayanan is making false claims regarding his role in India's space programme. "Narayanan takes all the credit for Isro 's success stories, when the reality is different," they said.
