New Delhi: The Satyashodhak Samaj (Truth-seekers’ Society) was established by the social reformer, writer, thinker, and anti-caste campaigner Jyotiba Phule. It advocated for the empowerment of marginalised communities in Maharashtra through better educational opportunities, expanded social protections, and more political participation, particularly among women, farmers, and Dalits.
