Siddaramanahundi, a village with about 3,000 population, is located 30 km away from Mysuru city. Siddaramaiah was born on 12 th August 1948 in Siddaramanahundi village of Varuna Hobli of Mysore District. His father’s name is Siddaregowda and his mother’s name is Boramma. He could not get formal schooling but could manage to complete Bachelor of Science degree and then bachelor of law degree from Mysore University.
