Zomato is introducing a new inter-city food delivery service called ‘Intercity Legends’. The service will let users order the best-known dishes from famous restaurants in other cities, though the delivery will take over a day or so in some cases.

Conceived a few years back, intercity food delivery might be a new concept for some, but many food delivery businesses have already begun exploring this market, such as Zomato and JustMyRoots.

The cost of food listed on the Zomato menu also includes the charges of packaging and logistics. A delivery fee of Rs 80 is charged by the platform. The average price of the listed food items in the intercity feature ranges from Rs 600 to Rs 700. Intercity orders cost 2.5 times more than normal food delivery orders.
