PUNE: The state government on Wednesday transferred Tukaram Mundhe, thus prematurely ending his tenure as the chairman and managing director of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML). Naina Gunde, a 2008-batch IAS officer, will take over as the new CMD of PMPML.

"We requested the concerned officers at CMO office to cancel the transfer order of Tukaram Mundhe dated 29th November, 2022 and reinstate him again in the health department of Maharashtra.

Tukaram Mundhe, a 2005-batch IAS officer, who was appointed as commissioner (Family Welfare) and director (National Health Mission) was transferred on Tuesday within two months of his appointment. He has not been given any new position and kept on waiting. Mundhe was among seven IAS officer transferred by the state government on Tuesday.

In his letter to the Union ministers, Gadkari said " Tukaram Mundhe, who took charge of civic chief on January 28, 2020, has unlawfully and unconstitutionally grabbed the position of CEO of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd (NSSCDCL)". Advt
