NAGPUR: A large number of citizens gathered outside Tapasya, the offical residence of outgoing municipal commissioner Tukaram Munde in Civil Lines Nagpur, on Friday. The crowd carried placards of Tukaram Mundhe citing him as their hero and expressed their anguish against mayor Sandeep Joshi of BJP and MVA government for his transfer by shouting slogans against them. The cops had a tough time to control the crowd, which included volunteers and activists of AAP, Congress, NCP and different NGOs apart from common citizens who wanted Mundhe to continue as municipal commissioner in Nagpur. Mundhe was appreciated by citizens for his work to keep covid pandemic under control in Nagpur. Due to politics, he was transferred from Nagpur and was replaced by Radhakrishnan B as municipal commissioner of Nagpur municipal corporation.
