About Us

The Seychelles International Airport (SIA) is the main airport of the Seychelles Islands located on Mahe, a few minutes from the capital Victoria. It has two terminals – international terminal accommodating international flights and the domestic terminal which offers inter-island flights daily every hour from 5am to 11pm. Both terminals are located a short distance from each other, while the cargo terminal handles all international and domestic freights. Private helicopter and chartered flights also operate at the airport by Zil Air and Inter Island Development Company (IDC). The airport is managed by the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) which is also the regulatory body for aviation in the Seychelles. Currently, the airport operates 14 scheduled flights daily with connections to Europe, Middle East, Africa and regional routes. There are also seasoned flights around the summer and winter periods with the busiest times around September to March. The airport have been expanding its commercial portfolio since 2014 by introducing new destinations to its route networks and infrastructural developments to modernize and improve its services. Praslin Airport

Located on the second largest island, the Praslin Domestic Airport accommodates daily flights from 5am to 10.30pm by Air Seychelles. Other aviation operators like Zil Air helicopter services also uses the airport for transfer flights. Flights to Praslin takes only 15 minutes from mainland Mahe with scenic views over the islands. There are car hire service desks available. Reservations or bookings are best made in advance as hiring of vehicles are very popular on Praslin. Expect to pay between 80-100 Euros for a car for one day though this may vary depending on the car company. Please check our list of licensed car hire operators on Praslin. Do note that all car hirers carry a yellow plaque with HV on its number plate. Taxis are located on the exit of the terminal and are on hand 24 hours. Taxis to and from the airport can be arranged in advance by your hotel if you inform them early. Fees for taxis are between 30-50 Euros from the airport to other destinations around Praslin. Do check the airport information screens for up to date rates. All taxis in service display the white taxi sign and must have a meter. Take your receipt after each ride.
