Timur belonged to the Turk clan, his father’s name was Amir Taraghai, who was the leader of the Turks. Babur was the descendant of Timur, the founder of the Mughal Empire of India. 1. Taimur Lang was born on 6 April 1336 in the city city of Uzbekistan. Timur, also known as Taimur, is best known for his achievements in completely invading different regions of India. He was called “Taimur Lang” because of the reason that he lost his one leg on the battlefield.
