Taj Mahal, Agra

Who hasn't heard of the Taj Mahal -the symbol of love. Situated in Agra, this fantastic structure of white marbel is a mausoleum of Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. I recently visited this place and the govt has really made a beautiful walkway called the Taj walkway outside of the main entrance. There are electric buggies that can carry tourists from the main road through this walkway to and fro. The entrance requires tickets that you can purchase online as well. Shoes are not allowed in on and in the mausoleum area, so a shoe cover is provided inside in 10rs only per pair. Please don't buy from outside as they sell in 20rs or so. As always, in the walkway and the area outside near the Taj, you will find plenty of guides annoying you to take their services and also the local shop keepers forcing you to buy stuff. Other than these disturbances, it's an absolutely amazing experience to witness this marbel beauty. Try and go early morning around 6.30 or 7 to experience minimum crowd inside. There's plenty of reviews of this place already but here's my take. Getting it is tough because you have to really be able to keep it to yourself around the 100 guys coming to you asking if you want a guide and saying they will get you a ticket fast. Just ignore them and move to the ticket counter. The ticket costs 1100 rupees, if I'm not wrong, for foreigners and includes a water bottle (provided on a corner near the entrance before security), free entry to the toilets (which ...

2023 Taj Mahal with Mausoleum Skip

Make the most out of limited time at the Taj Mahal by avoiding the notoriously long entrance lines, and getting straight inside. This skip-the-line ticket is delivered via email, so there’s no confusion or complications with ticket delivery. To enhance the experience, there’s also an option to upgrade and add on round-trip transfers, or a private guide. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m so glad I had Lalita as a tour guide. She made the process very easy and we were able to skip all the lines buying tickets and entering the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of the sites and took so many good pictures of me that I can have as memories. Finally, she was so helpful in negotiating all of the tuk tuk prices to get around and recommending good places to eat. I would definitely recommend her and this company, especially for foreign tourists who may have difficultly navigating the city by themselves. It was a last minute trip for us, and we were so happy to have found this package on the day! Saved us so much trouble in planning a trip in a foreign country. Vivek our guide was outstanding, he knew all the great spots to take photos from and was taking really nice photos for us. Also we were able to hire a nice car back from Agra to Delhi with them which makes the return journey so much more comfortable. I travelled to Agra from Delhi and stayed 1 night so need to do as much as possible in 1 day. This tour was fantastic! I was picked...
