To import text from a word document that uses heading into a powerpoint presentation

I have a Word document, created in Outline, using 5 heading levels in Outline. It is about 3 pages long (400 words, appx). I want to create a set of PowerPoint slides, with most of the words from the Word file in boxes in charts. If it were possible, one way to do this would be to convert all the words in Word into Text Boxes - the contents of each separate heading in the Word document becoming a separate Text Box. Then I could copy the Text Boxes into the PowerPoint slides as Text Boxes, and make the boxes on my charts just by putting an outline round each Text Box. Is this possible? How? Or is there another way to effect the same conversion and create my diagram boxes? I have thought of another possible approach: If I transfer all my Word text into an Excel Spreadsheet, and use 'Text to Columns' to break it up into words, can I somehow transfer the contents of the spreadsheet to PowerPoint so that each cell in the spreadsheet becomes a Text Box on a slide? How would I do that? In some utopian Office product, at the "molecular" level, all these objects would be manifestations of the same molecules of content. I have an MS Word document with a Contents Page (and the rest of thedocument)set up using Heading Styles. I have inserted the 'send to MS PowerPoint' in the Quick Access toolbar. It opens PowerPoint up, but comes up with the following error message: "PowerPoint can't read the outline from C:\Users......rtf. No text converter isinstalled for this file type". I have searched all over the net, but cannot find a solution. It is not an online file. The way I approach it is in the Word document, by clicking on 'send to MS PowerPoint' on the Quick Access toolbar, and then PowerPoint opens up with the above error message. An additional problem I am NOW experiencing in Word, when I click on 'send to MS PowerPoint', even before it automatically opens PowerPoint is the following: "We can't save this file because it is read-only. To keep your changes you will need to save the document with a new name or in a different location". I assure you it is not a read-only, however, I did try 'save as' just in case...still doesn't work. HOW DO I GET THIS FEATURE TO WORK??
