Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Bangalore on Friday, November 11, 2022 to take part in various events: the second terminal at the Kempegowda International Airport will open, the Vande Bharat Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Express will be flagged off, and a 108-foot-tall statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda will be unveiled. Karanataka’s traffic police have announced diversions that will remain in force from 8am to 2 pm on November 11.

* VIP and VVIP vehicles coming from the International Airport should reach Ramana Maharshi Road off Bellary Road, turn left via the service road near the Palace Cross flyover, proceed towards Palace Cross Road, and turn left near Vasanthnagar railway under bridge for entering into the main gate of the Palace Grounds. * Motorists coming from Tumkur Road and bound for the Palace Grounds should proceed via Mekhri Circle, Jayamahal Road, take a right turn at the JC Nagar police station junction, then enter the Palace Grounds through the Mango Market gate, and park their vehicles at the Shah Rukh Khan ground. * Motorists coming from Bellary Road and bound for the Palace Grounds should take a left turn at the Upper Lamp at Mekhri Circle, then turn right again at the JC Nagar police station junction, enter the Palace Grounds via the Mango Market gate, and park their vehicles at the Shah Rukh Khan ground. * Motorists coming from Hosur Road, Kanakapura Road, Mysore Road and other southern parts should proceed via Palace Road and Cunningham Road, then advance towards Jayamahal Road via Cantonment Railway under bridge, take a left turn at the JC Nagar police station junction, enter the Palace Grounds through the Mango Market gate and park their vehicles at the Shah Rukh Khan ground. *Vehicles coming from Cantonment areas and bound for the Palace Grounds should advance on Cunningham Road and Millers Road, reach the Cantonment railway under bridge, proceed on Jayamahal Road, take a lef...

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an advisory to avoid traffic congestion in the city on Monday, in view of the inauguration of India’s biennial aerospace exhibition – ‘Aero India’ – at the Yelahanka Air Force station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The traffic changes will affect vehicles proceeding towards Bengaluru International Airport from the city. The elevated expressway road on Bellary Road will be closed for general traffic from Esteem Mall to the Bengaluru Airport between 8 am to 11.30 am Monday. Only vehicles with valid vehicle passes for the Aero India show will be allowed on the road during this time. “People going towards Yelahanka and adjoining areas may take the service road below the elevated road. People going to KIAL may take alternate roads from Hennur Junction to reach International Airport,” a statement issued by the Bengaluru police said. The Bengaluru police have announced traffic restrictions and changes in the central Bengaluru region over the next three days on account of the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to the city and the movement of dignitaries. “In view of the visit of dignitaries to Bengaluru city, in the interest of smooth traffic and safety one-way roads within the jurisdiction of Cubbon Park and Ashoknagar traffic police stations have been temporarily converted into two-way traffic roads,” Bengaluru joint commissioner of police (traffic) B R Ravikanthe Gowda said in an official note. The Raj Bhavan road, which is one-way, has been declared a two-way between the Raj Bhavan and Thimmaiah Circle from September 26 to September 27 for the movement of dignitaries. On Monday evening, there will be traffic restrictions between the Old Airport Road and the Raj Bhavan (via MG Road, Dickenson Road, Cubbon Road, and K R Road) on account of the President’s arrival to the city.
