Hardy, 3 others suffer 'significant injuries' in tour bus crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A tour bus carrying country music singer and songwriter Hardy and three others was involved in a crash that injured everyone on board. All four people on the bus were treated for “significant injuries” suffered in the crash as they headed home from a Saturday night show in Bristol, Tennessee, Hardy said on social media. He did not give details on the injuries. The bus overturned on Interstate 40 West near Nashville early Sunday, news outlets reported. Hardy and three others were involved in a tour bus crash that injured everyone on board. Megabus NYC Crash on NJ Turnpike Kills 2 Women – NBC New York

The death toll in a Megabus crash with a pickup truck on the New Jersey Turnpike rose to two on Wednesday, as officials identified a 59-year-old woman from New York City and a 66-year-old woman from the Garden State as the fatalities. Three people, including the driver, were seriously hurt. Cheryl Johnson, of the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 7 p.m. Tuesday crash on the southbound entrance ramp to the Thomas Edison Service Area in Woodbridge Township, officials said. Cecilia Kiyanitza, of Woodbury, was among the seriously injured victims airlifted to a hospital after the crash. She later died of her injuries, officials said. In total, 16 people were hurt, including the driver, when the bus, operated by Coach USA, collided with the Ford F-150 and flipped on its side. MEXICO CITY — Fifteen people are dead and 47 are being treated for their injuries after a bus carrying holiday season tourists flipped on a highway in Mexico’s Pacific coast state of Nayarit, authorities said Saturday. Officials in the nearby state of Guanajuato said all the passengers were from the same city, Leon, in that state. It is not unusual for friends, relatives or neighbors in Mexico to pool their money to rent a bus for beach vacations. The causes of the crash were under investigation. Forty five of the injured were being treated at local hospitals, and there was no immediate information on the condition of the wounded. In the past, such crashes have often been caused by poor maintenance of rental buses, bad weather or highway conditions, or speeding.
