UCF Academic Calendar 2023

The University of Central Florida, UCF Academic Calendar 2023-2024 has important dates and deadlines you need to check out. UCF’s registration system allows students to enroll for the entire upcoming academic year (3 semesters). During each academic semester, registration is held for all new, currently enrolled, degree-seeking, and nondegree-seeking students for the following term. Registration sessions consist of Registration and Late Registration (held during the first week of classes each term). Multiple term registration begins following the mid-term of the spring semester for the following summer, fall, and spring terms. UCF Campus Map, Orlando FL

A valid UCF ID is required for boarding UCF Shuttles. Parking & Transportation Services provides a shuttle called Pegasus Express. This on-campus only shuttle system stops at many convenient campus locations. There are 15 regular, fixed shuttle routes between the UCF campus and the following 22 off-campus apartment complexes and Central Florida Research Park. Nine round trips each day are provided to the Rosen College of Hospitality Management during regular class days. Shuttles travel between UCF’s main campus and the Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona Monday through Friday from 7:20 am to 10:45 pm For the safety of the passengers on board, shuttles stop only at designated stops – there are no intermediate stops along the way. Undergraduate Forensic Science

WHAT IS FORENSIC SCIENCE? Forensic science is the application of science to the law. Forensic scientists analyze and classify physical evidence related to criminal investigations, and the forensic science community seeks highly trained professionals that possess the required skills. Forensic scientists play an integral role in the judiciary system as advocates for the evidence, and some serve as specialists in an area of expertise, such as toxicology, ignitable liquids, explosives and fingerprints. Forensic Science in the Department of Chemistry at UCF The UCF Forensic Science Program welcomes you as an undergraduate major in either the forensic chemistry or the forensic biochemistry track. The baccalaureate degree program, started in 1974, has common entry, general education, science and forensic discipline subjects, differing only in the upper level classes. The forensic chemistry track emphasizes the application of modern chromatographic, spectroscopic and micro-analytical techniques to problems in forensic science. The forensic biochemistry track has a strong biochemistry-DNA focus to serve the needs of supervisory personnel in DNA sections of crime laboratories.
