Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 10 (ANI): Bollywood actor Vidya Balan who completed 18 years in the Bollywood film industry on Saturday paid tribute to late director, Pradeep Sarkar, who she credited for her first movie, ‘Parineeta’. Taking to her Instagram handle, Vidya posted a video and wrote, “Until I can say it to you in person again, Thank View this post on Instagram The video showcased glimpses from the sets of the movie. Several members of the film fraternity poured in love in the comments section. Actor Sayani Gupta wrote, “You beauty! Everything about this film is so charming and heartwarming! Dada .” Actor Aditi Rao Hydari commented, “Love.” A fan wrote, “It’s not a movie it’s a feeling.” Vidya Balan, since making her big Bollywood debut in 2005, till now she has delivered some outstanding performances in her career. The Government of India honoured her with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2014 for her contributions to the film industry. She aspired to be an actor since she was a child, and she had her first acting role in the sitcom Hum Paanch in 1995. She made her cinematic debut in the Bengali film Bhalo Theko in 2003. Vidya went on to make a name for herself as a strong female lead in a few consecutive hit movies, that includes films like Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), No One Killed Jessica and Kahaani (2012), and The Dirty Picture (2011). Ahead of the release of her upcoming film Jalsa, lead actor Vidya Balan interacted with her fans as she hosted an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram. From sharing her favourite outfit to favourite food, Vidya revealed much about herself. In the midst of the fun session, the Bollywood force also took questions about weight and her physicality. Vidya, who has faced trolling for her looks and weight in the past, was asked by a user about her weight. In her reply, Vidya shared a cheeky meme and wrote, “Ur weight.” While she said she prefers to eat healthy instead of diet, she picked Italian as her favourite food. New Delhi: Parineeta has completed 18 years of its release. It marked her Bollywood debut. The film, by the late Pradeep Sarkar, also starred Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt. To mark the special day, Vidya Balan has shared a montage featuring herself, Parineeta and for believing in me even when I didn't.18 years to Parineeta today.” Replying to the post, Dia Mirza dropped red heart emojis. Actress Sayani Gupta said, “You beauty! Everything about this film is so charming and heartwarming! Dada.” Actress Aditi Rao Hydari wrote a “love” note under the post. Earlier, in an interview with Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Gali, Vidya Balan said, “That was my video with Pradeep Sarkar. Vidya Balan, (born January 1, 1978, Balan’s family moved to suburban Bombay (now Mumbai) when she was young. She studied Chakram, but production difficulties led to Chakram’s being shelved before its release, and producers blamed Balan for “jinxing” it. She was subsequently dropped from a dozen other films in which she had been cast. In 1995 she landed a role on the television comedy Hum Paanch ( We Five). Balan struggled to find other acting work, however, and for several years she appeared primarily in advertisements and music videos.
