Yamaha RX 100 Relaunch Date, Price, Design, Features, Specifications

TheYamaha RX 100 can be accused of igniting the passion of riding among teenagers and youths in the ’90s. This was every budding biker’s dream then. While there were other performance bikes available then such as the Kawasaki Bajaj KB 100 RTZ, Suzuki Shogun and Yezdi Roadking, the Yamaha RX100 was always special. It was power packed, small, easy to flick around and was a trouble-free machine. Launched in the year 1985, the Yamaha RX 100 has done what the Bajaj Pulsars have done in the modern era, and more recently the KTM Duke and RC range – attracting biker enthusiasts who look for performance at an affordable price. Now there has been a rumor going around, that the famous Yamaha RX 100 will be relaunched. ‘ Yamaha RX 100 Relaunch Date The Yamaha RX 100 will not be relaunched now. It was rumored to be launching by the end of this year, however, this is not true. Yamaha has recently announced about taking the performance route and will not be focusing on the mass market segments where it has not been able to make a dent. In a recent announcement, Motofumi Shitara, the newly appointed chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, stated that the company will be focusing on the premium end of the motorcycle segment which will be 150cc and above moving forward. The bike could be a secret launch at the 2020 Auto Expo. Yamaha RX 100 Relaunch Price If we do see the RX100 come with a 100cc engine tuned for performance it will carry a price tag that will make it more expensive than the 10...

Yamaha RX 100, Expected Price Rs. 1,40,000, Launch Date & More Updates

Yamaha RX 100 is expected to launch in India in January 2025 in the expected price range of ₹ 1,40,000 to ₹ 1,50,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to RX 100 are Bajaj Pulsar N250, Keeway SR250 & Keeway SR125. Another bike similar to RX 100 is Kawasaki Versys X-300 which is launching in June 2023 in India. The Yamaha RX 100’s popularity can be gauged by the fact that enthusiasts are still looking to buy a well-maintained used example even after more than a decade of its discontinuation. The main reasons for its cult following were its compact dimensions, nimble handling, and performance that was beyond exciting for those times. Now, to our joy and surprise, the motorcycle is expected to make a comeback in a modern avatar after several years. Unlike the original RX100’s much-revered two-stroke carbureted 100cc motor, the contemporary iteration will have to incorporate a four-stroke layout with fuel injection to comply with new emission norms. Although delivering the same punch and feel would be difficult with the modern engine setup, we still expect Yamaha to tune it to dish out impressive and exhilarating performance. The design, however, will certainly hark back to the old RX100 with old-school styling elements like a round headlamp, a curvy fuel tank, and perhaps some chrome-finished components. It could also be quite modern on the feature front with LED lighting and a digital display. Similar, contemporary hardware like alloy wheels and monoshock could als...

New Yamaha RX100 India Launch Date And Quick Details

One of the most legendary bikes of the past, Yamaha Motor India's RX100, is all set to return to the roads in a new guise. The bike was available in the country from 1985 to 1996 and performed exceptionally well in the Indian market. When the latest reports suggest that the brand is gearing up to relaunch the bike in the country again, the Yamaha RX100 has become the talk of the town again. Speaking of introducing the new RX100 bike, Mr Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India, said that they wish to revive the RX100 brand. Plus, the rebirth of the bike with the current flavour is a significant task.
