Yezdi Adventure vs Royal Enfield Himalayan

Yezdi just launched its adventure cum touring bike the Adventure on 13th January 2022. This launch has caused a stir in the adventure and touring segment of the Indian motorcycle market. The segment had the Himalayan from Royal Enfield, and KTM had its own Adventure 250 and 390. Royal Enfield Himalayan is the closest competition to the newly launched Yezdi Adventure. Let’s dive in to know more about what these two bikes can do on the tarmac and off-road. RE Himalayan Owner Reviews The Yezdi Adventure

Yezdi has launched a new Yezdi Adventure alongside a Scrambler and a Roadster model. Just like the original models, the new bike is powered by the 334cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that offers a maximum power of 30 bhp and 29 Nm of torque. It also comes with a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox. The new Yezdi Adventure comes with a starting price of Rs 2.10 lakh (goes up to Rs 2.19 lakh). However, is the Yezdi Adventure better than Royal Enfield Himalayan? An exclusive comparison of touring bikes has emerged online. Let us see how the two motorbikes compare: As you can see in the YouTube video, the Yezdi Adventure goes head to head with Royal Enfield Himalayan. The new Yezdi performed quite well. It comes with an easily adjustable console with Bluetooth mode and LED headlamps. There is also a pre0instaed USB point. You can easily switch between three modes, including ABS. The Himalayan only allows you to switch ABS on and off. Also, the braking on Yezdi comes with dirt protection. Unlike Himalayan, it comes with a liquid cooling system. Additionally, both bikes feature similar front wheels. The rear wheel on the Yezdi is 130mm compared to the 120mm on Himalayan. The disc brake on Yezdi is also bigger. The rear-view mirrors are also better. Overall, the Yezdi offers more power on the road and features. However, during off-roading, the Himalayan has an advantage as it can be handled easily. Also, the Yezdi is not suitable for long drives. Let us know if you would choose the Yez...

Yezdi Adventure vs Royal Enfield Himalayan: spec comparison

At long last, the iconic Yezdi brand has been revived. And one of the models in its new line-up is the Adventure. As its name suggests, it’s an adventure tourer and one that seems to have been benchmarked quite heavily against the Royal Enfield Himalayan. So, how do the two bikes stack up on paper? Yezdi Adventure vs Royal Enfield Himalayan: engine Engine Yezdi Adventure Royal Enfield Himalayan Engine Liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 334cc engine Oil-cooled, single-cylinder 411cc engine Power 30.2hp at 8000rpm 24.3hp at 6500rpm Torque 29.9Nm at 6500rpm 32Nm at 4000-4500rpm Gearbox 6-speed 5-speed It’s a tale of two different engine philosophies: the Yezdi has a short-stroke motor that revs high and produces a greater amount of power, while the Himalayan gets a slower-revving long-stroke engine that produces superior torque. The higher torque figure, combined with the fact that the Himalayan’s peak figures arrive a good deal earlier in the rev range, should make it the more suitable powertrain off-road. While the Adventure does have respectable output figures, the specs suggest that this engine will need to be revved harder to produce the desired results. Of course, we'll only know for sure once we've had a chance to ride the new Yezdis. On the upside, it does get an additional 6th gear over the Himalayan. Yezdi Adventure & Scrambler: Short review by Himalayan owner

BHPian rahul4321 recently shared this with other enthusiasts. So I found my way today morning to the Jawa-Yezdi dealership because I was quite interested in the Scrambler. To be really honest, I was not looking at making another motorcycle purchase because my D390 and the Himalayan are not racking up a lot of kilometeres due to COVID. However, as I have mentioned in some other threads - I always had a fascination for the Ducati Scrambler as well as the Triumph Scrambler and if there was a new Scrambler on the horizon at 1/4th of the cost of the other two scramblers, I was definitely going to take a long hard look at it. Not too many people at the dealership and the few folks who were there were test riding a Jawa 42 which I found really strange but it left the Scrambler and the Adventure up for grabs. The SA told me that the Roadster hasn't been delivered to them yet but they are expecting it to land up in the next 3-4 days. No big loss - as that was one motorcycle I wasn't planning to ride anyway. First up, the Scrambler; the SA was quite pleasant and wanted to know if I knew the specifications of the motorcycle. So I told him that I had a cursory glance but nothing very specific. He proceeded to give me a detailed explanation of the specifications and the tell-tale lights on the dashboard. I happened to mention to him that I had a Himalayan to which he insisted that I also test ride the Adventure (even though I told him I had no plans of buying it). I ended up taking 2 t...

Royal Enfield Himalayan v Yezdi Adventure

The new Yezdi Adventure constantly finds itself being compared to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. We decided to settle this issue with facts and some overlooked perspectives. Good competition leads to faster development and, ultimately, the customer is the winner. That is one of the reasons why comparative tests are crucial to further progress. It gives manufacturers and customers new perspectives on similar motorcycles. In that vein, this time we have pitted a motorcycle with proven credentials (over the years and over a few iterations) against a newcomer. Obviously, the former is the Royal Enfield Himalayan while the latter is the resurrected Yezdi brand’s new Adventure. They say imitation is the best form of flattery. Then Royal Enfield must be tickled pink about how the Adventure has turned out. The Himalayan has been around for a few years and the Yezdi, a newcomer, has an almost identical design. Even so, the Adventure’s Himalayan-inspired form has received some crucial modern elements that set it apart as the newer motorcycle of the two. While the Himalayan uses LEDs only for the tail-lamp, the Adventure uses them all around. Unlike the Himalayan’s boxy fuel-tank, the Yezdi employs a curvier shape and has cocooned it in a rather large crash-guard that is noticeably bigger than the Himalayan’s. • Oil cooler for the Himalayan • Radiator for the Adventure On closer inspection, there are other key elements to tell them apart. The most obvious among them is that only the Ad...

Royal Enfield Himalayan Vs Yezdi Adventure: Powertrain, Features And A Lot More

Thanks to the more advanced DOHC and liquid-cooled setup, the newly launched Yezdi Adventure motorcycle produces healthier 29.78bhp at 8,000 rpm and an equally respectable 29.9Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm despite having a smaller capacity engine at 334cc. Apart from that, the Yezdi Adventure motorcycle also comes with an extra cog to stretch its legs on long highway rides and it is around 11kgs lighter at just 188kgs. 2. Features & Technology Being a newer motorcycle, the Yezdi Adventure offers a few more features and equipments than the Royal Enfield Himalayan such as LED headlights, LED taillamps, LED turn indicators, three ride modes, adjustable windscreen, tilt-adjustable digital instrument console and many more. 3. Chassis & Suspension The Royal Enfield Himalayan is equipped with a Half-Duplex frame, whereas the newly launched Yezdi Adventure is equipped with a double-cradle frame. Though both motorcycles use different chassis types, it is generally very difficult to conclude which chassis is better than the other without riding both motorcycles.

Yezdi Adventure vs Royal Enfield Himalayan Road Test Review: Photo Comparison

Let's find out whether or not it makes sense to save a few thousand rupees and get the Yezdi ADV over the Royal Enfield Himalayan Starting with the design, while both the bikes look pretty identical, there are a few differences. The The equipment that is identical on both bikes include a windscreen up front, a split-type step-up seat, an underbelly pan, an upswept exhaust, and a tail rack. Talking about the features, the Yezdi Adventure gets USB type-A and type-C ports that could have been better placed. The ADV also gets a tilt-adjustable Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation that can only be paired by a single contact number. The space utilisation on the Yezdi's dash also could have been improved. The Royal Enfield Himalayan, on the other hand, only comes equipped with a semi-digital console that displays a compass, gear-position, odometer reading, and other basic information. The Himalayan's cluster also gets a turn-by-turn navigation (tripper navigation) system as standard. Powering the Yezdi Adventure is a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 30.2PS and 29.9Nm. The Himalayan draws power from a 411cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled motor that churns out 24.3PS and 32Nm. Considering the lesser weight (11kg lighter), one extra gear, modernised engine and the 5.9PS more that the Yezdi puts out, it was bound to perform better in 0-100kmph acceleration test when compared to the Enfield. In fact, the Yezdi is quicker than the H...

Royal Enfield Himalayan Vs Yezdi Adventure

Image – SKR Yezdi Adventure matches spec to spec with its closest competitor Royal Enfield Himalayan Classic Legends recently revived the Yezdi brand by dropping three bombs- Scrambler, Roadster and Adventure. Out of these three, Adventure is garnering a lot of attention for the sheer fact it looks so similar to Royal Enfield Himalayan which also happens to be its nearest rival. Like Himalayan, Royal Enfield Himalayan Vs Yezdi Adventure – Specs Starting with the powertrain, Himalayan obviously receives the larger 411cc SOHC engine which is surprisingly less powerful than the 334cc DOHC unit powering the Yezdi. While the former kicks out a peak power of 24 bhp, the latter pumps 30 bhp of maximum power. However, Himalayan does receive an advantage of slightly more torque which is achieved at a lower rpm than the Yezdi ADV. While Royal Enfield offers a 5-speed gearbox, Yezdi utilises a 6-speed unit on its adventure bike. This should help the latter cruise on triple-digit speeds for longer durations. That said, Himalayan has a much simpler setup with its air and oil cooler as opposed to a liquid cooler in Adventure. Royal Enfield Himalayan vs Yezdi Adventure Hardware Configuration When it comes to adventure motorcycling, dynamics of a bike is a very crucial aspect. While Himalayan is underpinned by a Half-duplex split cradle frame, Adventure is based on a dual cradle frame. Both frames are suspended on conventional telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock. Further, both susp...
