Mumbai: It has been a year today since Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away after battling cancer. Remembering his late father, his son Babil Khan penned an emotional note on Thursday morning, stating that no one can ever replace his beloved 'Baba'. Babil shared a candid picture of Irrfan trying his hand at building a table from the time he was undergoing chemotherapy and wrote, "Chemo burns you from the inside, so to find joy in the simple things, like building your own table to write your own journals." On late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s 54th birth anniversary today, his son Babil Khan shared an emotional post on Instagram as he remembered him. He shared a throwback video that features his father, mother Sutapa Sikdar and brother Ayaan. Sharing that the late actor was intrigued by the concepts and theories surrounding the blackhole, Babil penned that he would have built a 'space monument' if he could, only to be with his father. The Qala actor recently made an appearance at the awards ceremony with his mother Sutapa Sikdar in Abu Dhabi. At the event, the actor talked about his baba and opened up about his feelings. In a conversation with ANI, Babil Khan recalled the time with his father and said, "I miss him every day of my life." He further disclosed that while growing up he did not have many friends and his father was the only friend he could look up to. He said that laughing with his baba was his fondest memory. Babil was further asked if he would like to recreate any Irrfan Khan performance on stage, to which he responded by saying no.
