Flowers will be showered from a special helicopter on the statue during the unveiling to pay tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution. As part of the unveiling, a huge crane will be used to remove the curtain on the statue and garland it with a giant garland made of roses, white chrysanthemums and betel leaves. Only Buddhist monks will be invited for the ceremony to be conducted in their traditional way. Chief Minister KCR has directed that the unveiling be celebrated as a grand, historic ceremony and with a fervour that makes the nation proud. A public meeting will follow the unveiling ceremony. It will be addressed by Chief Minister KCR, Prakash Ambedkar and state welfare minister Koppula Eshwar. Arrangements will be made to ensure that 35,700 people from all 119 constituencies attend the ceremony with 300 people from each constituency. A total of 750 buses of the Road Transport Corporation will be booked for public transport. In addition to Secretariat staff, officers, heads of all departments, district collectors, state Ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, State Corporation chairpersons should attend this programme, the chief minister said. Hyderabad: The 125-foot tall statue of Dr BR Ambedkar will be unveiled in Hyderabad by the end of this year. This will be the tallest statue of the Father of the Indian Constitution anywhere in the world and it will be placed near Hussain Sagar Lake in the heart of the city. Minister for municipal administration and urban development KT Rama Rao along with social welfare minister Koppula Eshwar on Wednesday reviewed the work of the bronze statue being built at a cost of Rs 150 crore. The statue will be installed on a 50-feet pedestal. Rama Rao said 90-95 per cent of work on the base has been completed. KTR, as Rama Rao is popularly known, said an 11-acre area around the statue will be developed as a centre of tourist attraction. This would be a place of inspiration for not just the people of Telangana but for the entire country, he said. The life and works of Dr Ambedkar will be showcased through a museum, a photo gallery and an exhibition library. A meditation centre and meeting hall will also come up at the statue. The minister said the work on the statue was in full swing. The Social Welfare minister is regularly monitoring the progress. State Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao recently unveiled the final design of the Ambedkar statue which is coming up at the famous The preliminary estimations indicate that it would require around Rs 100 crore to set up the statue and Ambedkar museum incorporating the latest technology for 3D presentation on life and teachings of Ambedkar. A proposal to name the part of the NTR Park after Ambedkar is also under active consideration. Hyderabad, May 14 (IANS) Telangana Information and Technology Minister K. T. Rama Rao has presented a replica of Dr B. R. Ambedkar statue recently installed in Hyderabad to Ambedkar Museum in London. Minister visited the museum and paid his respects to the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice. The museum offers a peek into the circumstances that shaped Dr Ambedkar's quest for equality. Minister KTR viewed the entire building with interest, including the room where Ambedkar lived. He presented a replica of the Ambedkar statue to the museum for display through the first secretary of the High Commission of India in UK, Shreeranjani Kanagavel. He also presented a portrait of Ambedkar to the High Commission of India. The Federation of Ambedkarite and Buddhist Organisations UK (FABO UK), represented by its President Santosh Dass and Joint Secretary C Gautam, applauded the efforts of the Telangana government and issued a formal congratulatory letter applauding Chief Minister K.
