Classes at the Old Town School Since 1957, we've been teaching people of all ages to play music in a comfortable, social setting. Old Town School is now the largest public school of the arts in the US, teaching traditional folk instruments like guitar, banjo, and mandolin, a wide range of dance, theater, and visual arts classes, as well as our popular early childhood Wiggleworms® program. We believe all classes should be a fun and social way to learn and explore the wide world of music and dance! Be prepared to have fun while working hard on learning your new skills. While we take teaching music very seriously, this isn’t a conservatory. No auditions here, just bring your interest in learning new skills or a new instrument into our relaxed and encouraging environment.
