Nalla eco beach resort

Close to the ancient fishermen hamlet of Chinnakalapet, nearly 8 kms North of Pondicherry,between the East Coast Road (ECR) and the deep blue sea of the Bay of Bengalon the virgin sands of the Coramandal Cost, amidst an ancient Palmyra forest and in an area of 4,5 acres of garden lies Nalla Beach Resort. An eco friendly Resort built in a style that preserves the beauty and sumptuosity of the Chettinad South Indian style of palaces and adds the comfort of the modern world , providing our guests with a complete experience of a natural wellness feeling It took us a while to reach this place located just opposite Gate number 2 of the Pondicherry University. The resort was empty without a single room occupied. We were given a room on the first floor above the restaurant. It was musty, shabby and unkempt. I asked to get the room changed to a higher category. This was no better except that the flooring was tiled. Pathetic staff who are non-responsive and don't understand a damn about hospitality. Only plus point is the sea face with cool breeze blowing in. Please avoid this so called resort, it's more like a student hostel. Nice resort with a good bar and restaurant. Very close to the sea and you can see the sun rise on a virgin beach. Rooms and bathrooms are excellent and will give you a feeling of luxury in a colonial style. It may however be full of bachelors if it is a long weekend. This sometimes goes in bad taste due to alcoholics and the noise they make but if you can mana...

A place where there are a lot of adjacent rooms. Service is average. Small balcony. Bathroom is neat and clean. Food serving area include indoor and outdoor place. Drinks are costly. If you bring liquor bottles from outside, you have to pay additional money if you are drinking from their serving area. There is a nice and small swimming pool. A kids pool is also attached. A play ground is there nearby. All total a decent place to hangout with friends. The location of this place is really good with access to beach. However, their service is really poor. Communication with the staff is also not very great if you dont know Tamil. The staff and the management seems to have serious communication gap. Food is nice but it will take hours to come - even for a glass of lime water. Overall not worth paying 4k I am not happy with the resort, though it has few pros as well. Let me give the details: Pros: - In front of beach. - Big area and has greenery. Cons; - Pathetic room service. - bedsheets, rooms were dirty, even after we asked them to change, they gave another dirty one. - No mosquito repellent in room, when asked they said yes we are giving and even after 3 calls they didn't. When I reached the reception, even after I say I called and asked for all out, they were not listening to me and busy with their conversation. When I started shouting , 1 person came with me and gave the all-out. - Food is not tasty and much expensive. - Breakfast is not having options, only dosa and omele...
