*Current as of 8 June 2023 As an update to RRPA retirements, the system still has issues impacting RRPA retirement applications and RRPA calculations. You may have briefly seen the program go live again this week, but it has since been removed due to the issues surrounding RRPA calculations. Our technicians are working diligently with the program developers to fix the issues as we understand how stressful and frustrating the situation can be. Application deadline is February 15, 2023 The 2023 Summer RET is scheduled for June 05 – July 18, 2023 (excluding Juneteenth and 4th of July days) Applicants from STEM high-schools and community colleges in the Greater Louisville Area are welcome to apply for the six-week program which offers a substantial stipend and research experience. The program will run from Monday, June 05, through Tuesday, July 18 (8:30am to 4:00pm) only on weekdays. To apply, please fill in the application form below. Research Experience for Teachers (RET) is a program that allows teachers to actively participate in current research with one of our faculty’s research groups and design standards-based classroom activities from these experiences. Each RET participant will work under the direction of a specific principal investigator (PI) with post doctoral/graduate students from the PI's group. Throughout the summer and into the subsequent academic year(s), teachers will work with the Teacher Research Coordinator (TRC), who will coordinate the activities of the teachers during the summer and oversee the completion of a standards based curriculum element. Teachers will be encouraged to participate for two consecutive summers* in order to continue research and refine curriculum elements. * Successful completion of the first year experience and participation in academic year meetings/activities required.
