A+. Nagpur, Dec 27 (PTI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday told the Legislative Council the state government would consult all stakeholders while developing the existing corridor along Pandharpur’s famous Lord Vitthal temple on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor.

Mahakal Lok, Ujjain. BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta organization has issued an ultimatum to Ujjain Smart City to submit documents pertaining to the construction of Mahakal Lok Corridor.

The Mahakal corridor, with a budget of Rs 850 crore, is four times the size of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor. Modi inaugurated the latter late last year. Mahakal temple is the third “jyotirlinga” after Varanasi’s Vishwanath temple and Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath shrine, to see a major uplift.

What is the Mahakal corridor? Mahakal Maharaj Mandir Parisar Vistar Yojna is a plan for the expansion, beautification, and decongestion of the Mahakaleshwar temple and its adjoining area in Ujjain district. The first phase of the Mahakal Lok has been developed at a cost of Rs 350 crore. (Express)
