Abstract Good husbandry practices at farm level form an essential component of the production of quality and safe food. It encompasses all the measures adopted at the farm, from procuring and rearing healthy animals, their welfare, to final slaughter or milking.

1 Introduction Animal husbandry, an important component of agriculture, is also a pillar industry that supports the survival and development of farmers and herdsmen ( Weindl et al., 2017; Aleshina et al., 2020; Maryunani, 2021; Dai et al., 2022 ), especially in north China.

The animal sciences comprise applied animal physiology, nutrition, breeding and genetics, ecology and ethology, and livestock and poultry management. In addition, diseases of food animals are the focus of many veterinary scientists. poultry farm
